The city that never ceases to amaze, where sacred and profane coexist in his heart. The city ranging from places of religion with the Basilica of St. Pietro and the Vatican Museums, to those of ancient history, like the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.

Noisy and joyful, with a thousand taverns, and the thousands cafe of “La Dolce Vita”.

You can find a mixture of tourists who flock to the many piazzas of the Eternal City.

 

We start the tour from the Vatican museums, admiring the masterpieces in the Candelabra, Tapestries galleries, the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's masterpiece. We continue visiting St. Peter Basilica , the spiritual center of Catholicism. After lunch we enjoy a free afternoon or participate in the walk with our guide to discover the most beautiful square of Italy: Piazza Navona, the exterior of the Palazzo Madama, the Pantheon, Piazza Montecitorio, Piazza Colonna, The Galleria Sordi and Spanish Steps at the foot of the scenic Trinità dei Monti.

Walking guided tour in Rome historic center: from the eighteenth century Trevi Fountain, one of the most famous in the world, you go through the tunnel Alberto Sordi, elegant shopping center in the heart of Rome, to arrive to Piazza Colonna. On the square, dominated by the ancient Column of Marcus Aurelius, overlooking the seventeenth century Palazzo Chigi, seat of the Council of Ministers. The walking tour continues to the nearby Piazza Montecitorio, where, in the Palazzo Bernini, has its seat the Deputies Chamber. You then reach the Pantheon, the best preserved monument of ancient Rome, transformed in the Middle Ages into a Christian basilica. Through evocative alleys and corners, passing Palazzo Madama, you get to Piazza Navona, center of Roman Baroque, with its choreographed fountains. The tour ends in Piazza di Spagna with the monumental stairway of Trinità dei Monti.

The day is dedicated to the visit of Ancient Rome and begins with an overview of the external Circus Maximus, the largest arena of the city and the Palatine. With our guide we visit the 'Constantine Arch' the Via dei Fori Imperiali and the Colosseum that in 2007 was added among the Seven Wonders of the World. The tour continues in Piazza Venezia, dominated by the Vittoriano and Campidoglio hill of which we admire the outside. After lunch, we visit one of the Catacombs on the Via Appia Antica, St. Callisto, S. Sebastian or those of Domitilla, depending on the day of closing. Then we will spend time admiringS. Paul Outside Walls, one of the four Papal Basilicas, and dinner will be followed by an overview of Rome by night.

We enjoy a guided scenic walk with the tour starting from the rooftop terrace of the Pincio and continuing in Piazza del Popolo with the twin churches and the Church of S. Maria del Popolo, that we visit singolarly, to the discovery of works of art by masters such as Caravaggio and Raffaello, Chigi Chapel author.
